The M-Power Program

The M-Power Program is designed to assist young mothers currently attending high school to develop the confidence, employability skills, education, and career goals that will help forge a better life for them and their families.

M-Power gives young women a broad occupation-sampling experience, opening their eyes to a world of self-discovery, career options, and empowerment.

The program is infused with a career development focus that helps young women explore and discover their likes and dislikes, helping them grasp educational opportunities and plan their career paths.

M-Power gives young mothers an opportunity to connect with other young mothers and build community. Through a series of Success Story Spotlights, participants will hear from a number of inspiring women in the community about their personal and career development stories and lessons learned along the way.

M-Power helps young mothers believe in their dreams while showing them how to make them a reality. With the M-Power program, young mothers learn to take control of their lives and become their own education and career champions.

In the 2020-21 program year, the M-Power program will primarily be delivered as a virtual program allowing for participants to experience M-Power from the safety of their homes amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are also excited to share that M-Power will be expanding its program delivery this 2020-21 program year to provide programming in The Pas as well as Winnipeg!
