MBA Games raise over $46,000 for Career Trek, breaking last year’s record.

Career Trek was honored to have been selected as the charity of choice for the 2026 MBA Games, hosted by the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University. This year’s theme, “Profit with Purpose,” guided participating schools as they championed meaningful community impact.

During the month-long campaign, MBA students from eight universities across Canada raised an incredible $46,182, exceeding last year’s record of $30,000. The team from University of Canada West who raised $27,644 said “Your contributions help Career Trek create opportunities and support youth through learning and career development.”

Career Trek is deeply proud of the efforts made by students throughout this campaign and extend our heartfelt gratitude to the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University and the other participating schools:

  • University Canada West
  • Simon Fraser University
  • Ted Rogers School of Management at Toronto Metropolitan University
  • Rotman School of Management at University of Toronto
  • Alberta School of Business at University of Alberta
  • HEC Montreal
  • Goodman School of Business at Brock University

Career Trek CEO, Kerry Swanson said, “Initiatives like the MBA Games demonstrate that the impact of Career Trek’s work reaches far beyond Manitoba and is a testament of our mission to work collaboratively to remove barriers to education, employment, and life-long learning opportunities.”

With the funds raised, we will continue fulfilling our vision of inspiring lifelong learning today, for a just and equitable tomorrow for youth across the province.

Participating schools did a wonderful job in such a short time span. I personally hope that the money raised helps Career Trek to further advance their mission. People from across Canada should be able to know about Career Trek’s wonderful cause and assist in educating Canadian youth
