Wonder of Work (West)

For students in grades 5-6

Introduction

Children can only imagine futures they have had the opportunity to experience.

Wonder of Work is a hands-on fall career exploration program for Grade 5 and 6 students in Brandon and surrounding Westman communities. Through interactive activities and in-person learning experiences, participants discover careers in health care, technology, skilled trades and other industries while connecting classroom learning to the world around them.

Working with schools, post-secondary institutions, community organizations and industry partners, Career Trek creates welcoming opportunities for young people to explore their interests, recognize their strengths and build confidence. The program is designed to include students from diverse backgrounds, particularly those who may face barriers to career exploration and educational opportunities.

Wonder of Work West helps children see where learning can lead, without expecting them to choose a career before they are ready.
