Introduction

The Empowering Parents Program provides young parents, who are currently enrolled in high school, with the opportunity to explore a wide range of careers which in turn opens up a world of self-discovery and curiosity. This focus on career development empowers participants and helps them gain greater insight into a vast array of career options and their respective pathways. The program also provides participants with an understanding of the education and training required to pursue a particular career and as a result, they not only develop a greater sense of self-awareness, but they also build on their confidence and develop or enhance practical employability skills.

Empowering Parents helps participants plan for their future and the future of their children by supporting them to become their own education and career champions. More importantly, participants are acquiring the skills and knowledge they need to make informed decisions that will make their dreams a reality.
