Program Overview
My Path Forward & Education Saving supports youth in building a clear pathway toward education, employment, and independence.
The program combines one-on-one mentorship, career exploration, and guidance on education funding so young people and families can make informed decisions about the future. It is designed to remove barriers and ensure youth have the tools, support, and resources needed to transition successfully into post-secondary education and careers.
Who It's For
Youth who:
- Are ages 15-19
- Are in Child and Family Services care in Winnipeg
- Want support exploring education and career pathways
Parents who:
- Want to understand how to save for post-secondary
- Need help navigating post-secondary funding, grants and student aid
- Want to build financial literacy with their children
What To Expect
Career Education & Exploration:

Education Saving & Funding Support
Families and youth receive guidance on how to fund post-secondary education and access available supports.
This includes:
- RESP education savings planning
- Government grants and financial supports
- Scholarships and bursaries
- Manitoba student aid
- Tuition waivers for youth care
- Connection to post-secondary resources
How To Participate
Refer a Youth
Schools, CFS partners, and community organizations can refer eligible participants.
Parent Support
Families can connect with the program for guidance on education saving and financial planning.
